Early life

Damon has a long history with the sport. He was only 16 when a local connected him to drag racing, and he immediately began competing in Thunder Valley, Noble, Oklahoma, high school pulls.

Before changing the Camaro into what it is currently, he did a bit of index racing with it. He was only interested in doing a head-up with the Camaro, and the crew modified everything. It had to be erected for the street. Damon Merchant is the newest member of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Damon, who drives a 1968 Camaro he nicknamed "Rogue," has been racing on the street for almost 20 years.

Career

With rising talent Damon Merchant, the hit television program gained a new face.

Merchant raced his way into the top ten of the 405 by displaying his stunning 1968 Camaro dubbed "Rogue." While many fans are witnessing Merchant for the initial time this season, he isn't new to the game.

That "new" car is built on an RJ Race Cars chassis and is powered by a 548CI large block Chevy with an F3-121 ProCharger built by Jon Faubion (Faubion Motorsports). Craig Stephens, Mark Niebes, and Jared Rockhold are part of his team, as are his father (Roger) and wife (Lacy).  The car was designed for the street, not necessarily for television. Not right away, at any rate. Things continued to improve.
