It seems like he was drunk and hit a utility pole with his car. “Shortly before 3 a.m. on September 15, 2018, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a single vehicle fatality crash on LA 75 south of LA 3066 in Iberville Paris,” the Louisiana State Police report said. “The crash took the life of 35-year-old Randy Edwards of Donaldsonville.” The initial investigation by State Police revealed that the crash occurred as Edwards was traveling southbound on LA 74 in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. Edwards’ vehicle flipped over after hitting it, and he was thrown out.” The police said that impairment was “likely a factor” and took a toxicology sample from Randy after he was found dead at the scene. Randy is survived by his wife and three kids, as well as his brother and family members who were also on the show Swamp People.
