Lisa was able to effectively shed some weight, but her body was gradually failing her. She died as a result of "various illnesses" she was already dealing with before making her My 600-Lb Life debut. Danielle sat at her mother's side on the day Lisa died, holding her hand and providing as much comfort as she could. Danielle's moving tribute to her mother demonstrated what a great person Lisa was and how much she would be missed by everybody who knew and loved her.
