  • About the show My 600-Ib life

My 600-lb Life is an American reality television program that has been broadcast on the TLC network since 2012. The attempts of severely obese persons to decrease weight to a healthy level over the period of a year are detailed in each episode. These individuals normally weigh at least 600 pounds (270 kg) at the beginning of the episode. In "Where Are They Now?" After the very first episodes have broadcast, update episodes continue up to a year or more later. Patients are under the care of Houston physician Younan Nowzaradan (often known as "Dr. Now"), who suggests various weight-loss methods before perhaps recommending a gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy based on the patients' progress.

Early life

John, 34, and Lonnie, 35, were from different Texas cities. Lonnie was in his mid-thirties. The two decided to go to Houston and sign up for Dr. Now's weight-loss programme together. The pair talked openly about their harrowing experience and what specifically set off their food addiction.

The brothers were both close to 200 lbs. by the time they were ten years old. Their mother's subsequent marriage was the cause of this. The two were mistreated by their step-father, which caused them to turn to food for solace and protection. When Lonnie came out as gay as a teenager, there was another problem that contributed to their addiction getting out of control. The revelation was disregarded by his mother, a devout and traditional woman who had reared her children in a similar manner. At that moment, John was unable to digest the information either.

The two quickly became aware of the effects of their weight gain. They collaborated and provided encouragement for one another after enrolling in Dr. Now's programme. They both agreed that the process was quite difficult and not for the weak-hearted

Lonnie is actively pursuing my 600-pound life.

After John and Lonnie's encounter with Dr. Now, the brothers have moved on. Texas-based hairstylist Lonnie seemed to be very content with his new existence.

In an Instagram post, Lonnie revealed this and said that John has always been a fan of and linked to the sport. For 14 years, he would sound the train horn in the event of a touchdown or other significant play.

John couldn't have effectively coached the game before his weight loss change, but he can now. Since leaving the show, the brothers have undergone a significant metamorphosis. John and Lonnie's tale was motivational since the two brothers supported one another and worked hard to achieve their goals. After their time, John and Lonnie are living pretty successful lives.

John and Lonnie Hambrick are currently where?

Because of his limited mobility at the beginning of the episode, John had to rely on a wheelchair to go around. He lost weight, but found it annoying that he still had trouble walking and finishing ordinary tasks. When he lost motivation and stopped performing his daily activities, his weight loss stopped for a few months. He regained motivation and resumed his course with the help of his wife and brother. Now that he has shed close to 400 pounds, he can move around without a wheelchair. He keeps busy and leads a peaceful life with his wife and son.

He also realized a lifelong passion of his and acquired a high school football coach. Compared to his brother, Lonnie's path was a bit less difficult. He constantly shed pounds without exerting too much effort, and he frequently served as John and him self's motivator.

Dr. Now was concerned that Lonnie had lost over 200 pounds more than two years after his operation. He thought Lonnie had dropped too much weight and encouraged him to put more effort into maintenance when he put on roughly 20 pounds. Lonnie shed almost 350 pounds by following Dr. Now's instructions. He appreciates spending time together with his partner, Richard, and working as a hairstylist.
